Editorial Policy & Review Methodology
This page explains exactly how SouthlandSport reviews and ranks offshore operators, how we stay independent of the commissions we earn, and how we handle corrections and accuracy. If you want to understand why an operator scores the way it does, start here.
The six factors we score
Every sportsbook, casino and crypto operator is scored out of five on the same six weighted factors. Payout reliability is weighted highest — a generous bonus is worthless if you cannot cash out.
- Payout reliability & speed. The most important factor. We request real withdrawals by crypto, card and wire and record how long each one truly takes and whether it is paid without friction.
- Odds or game library. For sportsbooks we compare pricing and juice against regulated books; for casinos we assess the range and quality of slots, table games and live-dealer content.
- Market depth & live betting. How many leagues, props and in-play markets a book offers, how fast its live console reprices, and how deep a casino's game catalog runs.
- Bonus value vs rollover. We measure the real value of a welcome offer against its wagering requirement and terms — a smaller low-rollover bonus often beats a huge one you can never clear.
- Banking & crypto. Which deposit and withdrawal methods work, crypto and card support, fees, limits, and how reliably each method performs in testing.
- Trust & track record. Operating history, licensing, ownership transparency, support quality and the operator's reputation for paying players over time.
How we test — with real deposits
We do not score operators from a marketing sheet. For each one we open and fund a live account, deposit with both a card and crypto where possible, place real bets or play real games, and complete identity verification (KYC) where it applies. We then request withdrawals through every method the operator offers and time them. This is the only way to report honestly on the things that matter most: whether the site pays, how fast, and how much hassle it takes to get your own money out.
Affiliate independence
SouthlandSport is funded by affiliate commissions: when a reader signs up through a link on this site, we may earn a fee at no extra cost to the reader. We are completely transparent about this, and it is firewalled from our scoring. Commission rates are never an input to a rating, operators cannot buy placement, and our rankings reflect testing alone. Where a commercial partner performs poorly, we say so — plainly and in public. If we ever had to choose between a referral fee and telling you the truth, we would tell you the truth every time.
FTC affiliate disclosure, in plain English
In compliance with US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and disclosures, here is the plain-English version: we make money from some of the links on this site. If you click a link to an operator and then sign up or deposit, that operator may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not change your bonus. It also does not change our opinion — we rank operators on how they perform in testing, not on what they pay us. You will see a clear advertiser disclosure at the top of every page that contains affiliate links.
Fact-checking & last-updated process
Every review is checked by a second team member before publication. Our editors verify each bonus, rollover figure and banking detail against the operator's own written terms and conditions — not against marketing copy. Every page displays the date it was last updated and the name of the person who fact-checked it, so you always know how current the information is and who stands behind it. We re-test operators when they change their offers, banking or ownership.
Corrections policy
We aim to be accurate, and when we get something wrong we fix it. If you spot an error, email contact@southlandsport.com with the page URL and the details. We investigate every report, correct confirmed errors promptly, and note significant corrections where it matters for transparency. Accuracy is more important to us than being first.
Common questions
Does SouthlandSport get paid to rank operators higher?
No. We earn a commission when a reader signs up through a link, but commission rates play no part in our scores. An operator cannot pay to move up our lists, and we routinely rank operators that pay us less above ones that pay us more when the testing supports it.
Do you actually deposit real money to test operators?
Yes. Every ranked operator goes through a funded account, real bets or gameplay, and timed withdrawals by crypto, card and wire. Payout reliability and speed is the factor we weight most heavily.
How often do you update reviews?
We review our ranked pages regularly and re-test whenever an operator changes its bonus, banking or terms. Every page shows a last-updated date and a named fact-checker.
What do I do if I find a mistake?
Email contact@southlandsport.com with the page URL and the error. We investigate every report and correct confirmed errors promptly, noting significant corrections where appropriate.
